Research on the Food Selection

Build a Chinese Cooking Website
Basic Research on the Food Selection

Research start at 4 different Chinese Take-aways, GoodLuck from Inchicore Dublin 8; Dragon Inn from Thomas Street Dublin8; Chess from the park Shopping Centre Dublin7 and Recent from Killester Dublin3.

The Research method is went to those four different takeways and gets the quick interview of the people who walks in that ordered the Chinese food.

       GoodLuck from Inchicore Dublin 8;
32 people ordered food and the following chart is show the percentage of different food they ordered.

During the 32 interviewees, 17 out of them are the regular customers and they all ordered more than twice in GoodLuck, and most keep the orders same, the changes always at the starts.

26 out of them have been tried to cook Chinese food at home, but only depends on what source they could get in the Supermarkets and taste are different with the takeaways.

Dragon Inn from Thomas Street Dublin8

55 people came in get food and that include telephone calls for collection orders and people walk in orders. Only 12 people never cooked Chinese food at home, they all thought cooking Chinese food is a very very very hard, and they do not know how to cook them, but they are all welling to learn how to cook Chinese if there is a simple way to guide them.

Chess from the park Shopping Centre Dublin7. 30 people been interviewed.

Recent from Killester Dublin3. 73 people took the interview

Conclusion:

Nearly all most all the Chinese takeways food are very much similar, and they are all HongKong style food more than the traditional Chinese food. Take the view of the marketing place, to provide the right goods to the right group is the most import thing.

We analysis the most popular Chinese food that Irish People normally order for dinners are:
        Spring Rolls
        Chicken & sweet Corn Soup
 Curry dishes
        Black Bean Dishes
        KongPong dishes
        Szechuan dishes
        Sweet Sour sauce dishes
        Fried Rice

The price of one dish is between 6.60euro to 8.40euro, the diner for two people are around 20.00euro to 30.00 euro. But the bottle of the sauce that could make the meal for up two people’s only cost under 4euro. And they can buy those sauce in the daily supermarket such as Tesco, Dunne store or SuperQuinn etc.

During the research, some interviewees did mentioned that they were tried to cook Chinese food at home, and find out they are not very hard but the taste were a little different with the food they order in, they wonder what is the secret in the chef’s pocket that make the dish so delicious?

So the website we are going to build would be solving this problem.
